I am trying out a new blog/site with wordpress - you can find me at Mud Actually.
I'd love for you to visit the new site and see what you think? It's a bit of a work in progress at the moment as I have some pages to complete, but I am really pleased with it so far. I still have my online card store at Folksy and my main photography site at AngelaChapman.com.
Hope to see some of you on my new blog.
Happy New Year to you all - may 2010 bring all you wish for!

Cold but Beautiful
Today has been rather cold but we have had some wonderful blue skies and sunshine - far preferable to me than grey, wet and miserable!
I thought this was a beautiful sight ...

Oldies Club Winter Walkies
Yesterday I took part in the Oldies Club Winter Walkies. It was a wonderfully sunny day and we had lots of fun. Lovely to see so many dogs (and people!) together, enjoying themselves :)
I took lots of photos, which can be seen here. Many of the dogs featured were adopted from rescues, including a number adopted from the Oldies Club dog rescue charity. I've posted just a few of my photographs below - you'll have to visit the link above to see the rest :-)
Oldies Club has recently launched a fundraising appeal for Happy and Shamrock, two dogs who were rescued from appalling conditions in Ireland and have come into Oldies Club care. The charity is currently paying for them to be kenneled and unfortunately both dogs became very ill and have had to spend time at the vets. If you would like to make a donation towards their care, please CLICK HERE for more information.

Wonderful Web
Today, while out walking with the dogs, I took these photos. I don't think I've seen anything like it before. It was rather cool :-) I half expected to see a spaceship at the end of it!

Irish Retriever Rescue UK - Reunion 2009
Yesterday I had a card stall at this show. I didn't sell many cards but it was still a great day out with great weather, nice people and lots of lovely dogs of all sorts of breeds and crosses.
I have posted a gallery of photos from the event here.

Dog Charity - photographic event
A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be the official photographer for a training day for a Labrador rescue: Labrador Rescue South East & Central, the wonderful rescue I adopted my youngest dog from.
It was a fantastic afternoon, a great experience watching the dogs working with their owners, the weather was very kind (thankfully!) and while it was exhausting, it was a very positive experience for me.
Quite a few of the people that attended the training day ordered prints of the photographs I took and those have been posted out. The photos can be viewed online here.
This is one of my absolute favourite photographs of the day - wonderful dog and very nice owner and I just love the photograph, which I feel really captures the bond and love between them :)

A summer evening walk
It was a lovely day here yesterday so we went for a walk in the evening and the light was beautiful. I really love this photo - simple but lovely, I think.

New website!
I have been busy sorting out my new photography website as my last one was due for renewal and I decided to look around to see what else was available. I am really pleased with how the new one is looking and it's much easier to manage.
Take a look and let me know what you think? *NEW WEBSITE*
I have more photos to add to it and will obviously add more on an ongoing basis too :)

Dog Show
I went to a charity dog show on Sunday, in aid of Oldies Club and Dogs Trust and sold some cards and had some great feedback about my photos.
I also took LOTS of photos, it was a lovely day with many dogs of different breeds and crosses.
I met a very special someone at the show - Mattie, now known as Peggy, who was taken in by Oldies Club in a very sorry state. You can see her original photos here.
Peggy improved a great deal in foster care and then recently found a wonderful new home. Her new mum and dad brought her to the show and I took a few photos of her.
Her dad was rather pleased when she took 2nd in Best Rescue:
She is such a beautiful girl. How amazing dogs are to go through what she has been through and still be such a wonderful being.
You can see lots more photos I took at the show here. It was lovely to see so many wonderful human/dog relationships :)

Sky
Took this on a walk yesterday, our weather is as usual predictably unpredictable. One minute the rain is hammering, then minutes later the sun and blue skies appear.
Tomorrow we *will* blue skies and sunshine, I am going to be selling cards on a stall at a charity dog show and the weather must play nice ;-)

Cream Tea?
I love this photo, taken of a scone with a delicious amount of cream and jam! My husband ate the lot, shortly after the photograph was taken!
I sell this photo as a large (A5) glossy greetings card, called High Tea, available from my online shop at Folksy. Perfect for the sunny summer we are having right now.

Shimmer
This photo rates as one of my absolute favourites. Taken on a beach (really?!) a few years ago. Lots of happy memories. The photo looks wonderful as a canvas print on my sitting room wall.
I also sell this photo as a large (A5) glossy greetings card, available from my online store at Folksy.

Like my dog
We met this lovely girl today while we were out. I think this photo gives her a slightly cheeky look :-)
She reminded us of our oldie, who we adopted from rescue when she was in her teens and who we very sadly lost a few years ago.
If anyone is looking to adopt a dog from rescue in the UK, please take a look at Oldies Club, which features lots of older dogs (aged seven plus) who are looking for a new forever home

I took this photo last year and decided it would make a cute greetings card - and it seems I was right as others seem to love the photo too :-) Not hard to see why, I did have a most beautiful subject.
